Sami, as always another very good presentation.
Marilyn, it was good to be able to give a review of your AOV. The subject matter seemed very appropriate to at least take our minds off politics for a bit.
I have been reading through the responses and just wanted to add a few comments.
When I was young, I got myself into a lot of compromising situations but was fortunate to talk my way out of it. Thinking back, it had little to do with my attire. However, times have changed so much over the years and it would be virtually impossible for a woman to 'talk' her way out of these type of situations now. There are just too many 'crazy' people out there.
As has been pointed out here and I will say that I also LOVE clothes and love to be admired by what I am wearing. I loved dressing flashy and showing off my figure when I was 34/23/36. Had a tiny waist but not well-endowed above there. Now that I have gained so much weight, I stick to drapey clothes and things that flatter without showing off my larger size. Just because I am older, I refuse to dress older and like the compliments I get from others. Don't women like to be complimented on their wardrobe, as well as men? It is human nature.
It used to be 'if you got it, flaunt it!' Now at lot of young girls really enjoy covering up and dressing tom-boyish. They look really cute, at least I know my granddaughter does. I am sure that will change here in a couple of years when she reaches her teens.
Can you imagine how uncomfortable those heavy gowns with all the petticoats and undergarments were!!?? Yes, they really liked showing off the bosom at one point but flattening them at others. The agony of waist-cinchers!!
Hope the responses keep coming and we hear more opinions and ideas on "Women's Dressing".

I liked your article very much and enjoyed reading it.
Blessings,
Sara
