Hi Marilyn;

Men have complete control over their own actions. It doesn't matter what a woman wears, if a man thinks she's got a nice looking butt, it is his decision whether or not to say so. I used to work in black jeans and mens work boots, in layers of clothing because I worked in a meat locker. I would walk through the store, and men would make comments about me having a nice ass, all the time. I was by no means wearing revealing clothing. It really doesn't matter what a woman wears, men are going to look at her just the same; that's what men do. If she has nice hair, a swing to her walk, or a pretty face, men are going to make comments or whistle at her. The way women dress isn't the problem, the way men think about women is.

Even prositutes don't ask to be assaulted. They have the right to sell sex to whomever they want, and when a man attacks her, it is still rape and the man is to blame. After all, she's not giving it away, she's selling it.

Men need to be respectful of women. Prostitution exists because of men. If they weren't buying, the women wouldn't be selling.

Men are permitted to walk around with no shirt on, or in short shorts, and they do not suffer the same indignities that women do. They advertise their 'packages' all the time , without fear or ridicule. Why shouldn't women have the same right to dress the way theychoses, without fear or ridicule?

That's my two cents on the matter.

Hello Marilyn and Friends,

I wish to apologize for my less participation in this thread, I have been quite busy with my job recently.

Thanks to Marilyn for taking full control of the activities here, I am proud of your mature handling of your response to our teaming participants.

A very special one to our friend Trina, I like your candid opinion concerning Marilyn's topic. In as much as I agree to your take that It really doesn't matter what a woman wears, men are going to look at her just the same. If she has nice hair, a swing to her walk, or a pretty face, men are going to make comments or whistle at her.

This very true but I still believe that there will be a drastic reduction in women harrasement by men if some women expose less of their bare body. On the issue of men exposing themselves so easily, again I think it is not very decent but maybe, just maybe men believe they cannot be harrassed by their female counterparts. Some people are talking of the man's world......, well you know what I mean!

In all, I believe you have profer the right solution and it is the bottomline:
Men need to be respectful of women. Prostitution exists because of men. If they weren't buying, the women wouldn't be selling.

Have a worthy day and thanks for all your responses, I have learnt quite a lot.

Hi, I understand your point. But if man's mind wasn't so evil we all could freely expose ourselves without our pride or insecurities. But you can't judge a book by its cover. Take me for example, I been asked by one of Adlandpro members by a discriminated remark how I look which should not have been asked at all. I wear colorful clothes and not cheezy or outlandish but people still find fault and so they suggest this and that. I give them a blunt remark and then they leave because they don't want to hear it the truth. If I don't ask your opinion you shouldn't give it out or you suffer the consequences when I roar back. I wore a form fitted clothes and this I was all cover up, but the women were like tigers growling because I was distracting the men so they say. I wasn't paying attention to any men but my job. So I lost my job because of the foolishness of women. As long as I was doing my job that is all that matters even my supervisor said that it was ridiculous on women remarks. I not really trend setter, I wear things according to what I like and my personality not to show off or be in style with others. That is why I standout from everyone. We must take in account a couple of centuries or so, women from other countries especially hot or tropical climates weren't wearing full cover clothes, because of the climate, such as Africa, south america, and especially the indians when the immigrants came over to conquer, they didn't like see half-naked fine men because there mates were looking at them therefore the people were use to the way of dressing and they were taught to be disciplined. There wasn't any media or sexual casualties like it is today. So we all have to be discrete in way of dressing. I could walk down the street with a bikini on ,and what would people think about that? I am not flirting, I not too overweight, or harming anyone but people do predict erroneous things about people when they don't know them. God Bless Take Alexia

Hello Alexia,

You have done well by visiting and contrubting to Marilyn's Article of Virtue. I quite agree with your notion about the early mode of dressing especially in the tropical zones of the world like Africa and the South Amerca, except that the times have largely changed from the olden days and so is our sense of decency.

I am glad you seemed to put this as your concluding piece: "There wasn't any media or sexual casualties like it is today. So we all have to be discrete in way of dressing. I could walk down the street with a bikini on ,and what would people think about that? "

The bottomline is knowing when and where to wear what!!

Blessings my friend and thanks for joining our forun.
Remain most blessed!!
