THE  SAVIOR  OF  THE  WORLD

I John 4:14

This truth we must proclaim like a banner that’s unfurled.

“That the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.”

It’s not ours to hide away like some secret we can’t tell.

But proclaim it loud and long like the ringing of a bell.

When the Father sent His Son there were angels to proclaim,

The Son of God is come and Emmanuel is His name.

“God with us” now at last both for now and evermore.

He is the Truth the Life, unto our Father, He’s the Door.

Oh what joy should fill our hearts, as our songs to Him we bring.

For the peace He gives His own as our Savior, Lord and King.

There’s no truth that calms the heart like His promise to return.

Are you watching for that day?  For His coming do you yearn?

So, lift those downcast eyes, you who claim to have new birth.

Our Savior’s coming soon to reign upon this earth.

No more will sin abound.  No more will pain be known.

The King of Kings shall reign upon His Father’s throne.
