These dogs work so hard and many are injured during search and rescue.

They do it out of love for their handlers and their love for working.

Just goes to show how special animals really are!

While everyone remembers all who were lost on 9-11 so many don't remember the dogs that were in harms way as they worked right along side of the human rescuers.

They also suffered painful injuries from working to save lives and to find those that died.
