Today we enjoy
beautiful sunny spring weather at a high of 67 degrees Fahrenheit with a little
cool breeze in Clovis. Many trees are in full bloom with striking colors.
Petals are floating in every direction. It is a spectacular sight at this time
of the year in my hometown of Clovis, California.
Clovis is in the Central Valley which is right in the middle of the state of California. It is known as "Gateway to the
Sierras." It is situated at the foot of the
Sierra Nevada Mountain Range and 80 miles south of Yosemite National Park.
Clovis is in Fresno County which is the number one agricultural
county in the United States with more than 350 different
commercial crops. Our growers and farmers here produce an abundance of fruits
and vegetables to feed the entire nation as well as to export to other
countries around the world.
Clovis is world famous for its “Blossom
Trails” which is currently in full bloom. Hundred of thousand of acres of fruit
trees in the outlying area, all filled with blossoms at the same time, create a
colorful and breath-taking vista that attracts visitors from all over the
world.

Clovis has a population of 92,000 people. We
are culturally diverse. There are around 47 different ethnic groups in Fresno County. It is truly a melting pot of America.
Like many
other cities in America, Clovis has grown rapidly in the last 20
years. There are massive shopping centers, national giant retail stores and
chain restaurants, stadium theaters and world-class entertainment centers in
the Greater Clovis City Area.
We are
particularly proud of Old Town Clovis, the city’s oldest area. It has charming
western flair with classic brick sidewalks leading to quaint antique shops and
a variety of ethnic restaurants.

My friends, if you have
a chance to be in California, I hope you would consider visiting Clovis. My husband and I would be delighted
to be your local tour guides.
