Hi Pauline,

Nice to have you around and thanks for your suggestion for a possible wayout for most of our new members.

"..I was the same, shy and wondering how on earth to get friends to come post. But as I mingled around and got to know more and more interesting friends, and most of all  was posting in all forums on topics  I was interesed in ,and it was not long from then, that I was happy with my forums. I would say that its like having a constructive conversation..! youv'e got to mingle and let people get to know you, and then there will be no looking back. And yes, most important of all...stay real...be who you are...that goes a very very long way.

This is surely the way out. Start a forum, exhibit your interests and flair in writing and presentation, be real, mingle around and attract interesting friends, visit and post in their forum, use the opportunity to attract them to your own forum and then there'll be no looking back! Great lesson for all.

All the best Pauline!

Hi Janet,

I'm happy you returned for a feedback. So good of you because I know this is a very busy week for you. I checked out  Albert Chong's forum "Freedom2U. He needs to unvail himself, I am not always very comfortable with some members who refused to unvail their identity, maybe because of where I come from. Also he has not made any post yet in his forum. All the same it is good to know he's there and has already got new members in his forum even without a post.

Enjoy your week dear Janet.

Sam

As Always - you have posted a forum where people have to think..... I Love it! I posted this somewhere before... but it is worth another post...... a Quote from Henry Ford

"thinking is hard work, which probably why so few people engage in the activity"

You cause Thought Sam.... and everyone that posts in your threads are a delight to my heart and mind.... I have from the start, seeked out forums where "substance" is printed...... and also some good brainless fun (as I call it) where we can let ourselves go a little and get a laugh, or be a little silly.

When selecting forums - I suggest this forum guideline! Select a forum or two in each of these catagories.

1- thought provoking ideas

2- forum for business growth

3- forum for personal growth

4- forum for silly fun

5- forum for spiritual thought/growth

6- topics of your interest

Then comes the cruncher - this is the hardest part... since most of us are here for the purpose of building a business, we have to remember to keep up on the "work" necessary to make our online business grow.

I suggest the 80/20 rule.

Spend 80% of your time doing things that will lead to effective use of your time for your main purpose here..... and 20% for pleasure.

That would mean some of your time in forums for fun.... is actually developing relationships and getting to know others... which is part of business relationship building... but it is TOUGH to know when it becomes an escape from business duties.....LOL

Keep up the GREAT work Sam.... I'm very happy to call you "friend"..... and I can say that about all who post in your forums too...... because they are ALL people who are seeking to make a difference..... and they all have made a difference in my life.... thank you all!

Neil
