Hey Joe
We got a Wal-Mart supercenter. They closed down our K-mart, for lack of business.
Wal-mart is a good place to shop at, but only after midnight til about 7am...when most everyone is home where they should be.
We have a Blitz sale every year day after thanksgiving, and the folks go crazy. The customers start getting set up at about 10pm the night before (thanksgiving night), and bring their pillows and blankets. The workers have to run them off the aisles so they can stock the freight.
They sat up at the Electronics dept with their lawn chairs and block the back doors where the freight is coming out on the pallets. And when the blitz merchandise is coming out, they attack the pallets, and the workers usually don't make it to the floor with a full pallet. Sometimes the pallet is empty, so they just turn around and take the empty pallet back. And return with another full pallet till it's empty.
Wonder how I know, I worked their for 6 long grueling years. I made good money, but it liked to have killed me...I worked every part of that store. I was one of their flunkies. From the back room, to stocking to cashier, to CSM (customer service manager).
I will shop there, but would never work there again. I've seen somethings you wouldn't believe people would do, out in public. It amazes me how stupid and ignorant people can be.
They leave their frozen pizzas or hamburger meat, they decide they don't want, in the Apparrell (clothes) and when these things start thawing out, it's not good. Especially when we don't find them right away. (just a few things we found)
They have to lock the fitting rooms at night, because people have used them for bathrooms, right there on the floor....Glad I didn't work maintaince (nice word for clean up crew).
If you ever want to see a show, try the Blitz sale one night...I'd say take a camera, but Wal-mart doesn't allow camera's inside the store.
Anyway, thought I'd give you my input on Wal-mart.....Great place to shop, a b___h to work for.
