Interesting topic -
I've read many books about success.... think and grow rich was one of them.
The desire to please another..... is what I think is the answer you are seeking. Lincoln as an example wanted to please his mother..... other biographies and auto biographies a man wanted to show his father up.... or attain at least what his father had done.
Personally I think motivation comes from one of two places.... either we are motivated to achieve some kind of pleasure - or we are motivated to avoid pain.
If a man does things to please a woman - then he is actually motivated by pleasure. ..... if however the woman was a nagging pain in his back side then he would be motivated to avoid pain.....
Passion is another topic...... passion comes from within. When you have found your "WHY", to do something..... and your why is BIG enough..... you will do what it takes. Your why may be to attain pleasure... or it may be to avoid pain..... but your WHY has to be HUGE in order to truly develop passion.
To be totally passionate.... you will develop your committment to the "third level of committment."
Interesting topic.... Thanks Sam.
