If you were given this test, how would you respond?
Posted: May 24 2007 09:45 AM

Something to think about...

If you were given this test, how would you respond?

The purpose of this test is to help you reflect upon yourself and the decisions you make in life.  There really is no wrong answer, but what matters is "why" you chose your solution.  So, please take the test and then post "why" you chose what you did.  No peeking at the other's answers until after you post.

~~~ TEST ~~~
You have been shown a bathtub completely full of water.  You are offered a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket.  Please empty the bathtub.
~~~~~~

Please post how you would empty the bathtub and why you chose your method.

THE SOLUTIONS

Without knowing why the water is in the bath tub to begin with I'd use a bucket. My reasoning is that since you have asked that the water be emptied out of the tub, why not do the task as quickly as possible?

Now can I read the other posts? Smiley

Joe

We are not given enough information here.....

personally I would pull the plug.

However - if the tub plug was plugged up and could not be drained by pulling the plug - one would then choose one of the other instruments.

If I was paid by the hour and it did not matter if it took 3 weeks to empty- then I would use the spoon.... LOL

If however it was full of "your special" water - naturally I would use the the cup and make sure as many of my friends as possible could receive a cup or two...

If we were to ship the water somewhere- then of course the bucket.

Neil

PS- I forgot to ask "is this is a union job?

...... because if it is a union job then I would first have to find out if it is my job in the first place.

Hi Joe,

Can't we just pull the plug and open the drain???  So much easier than a bucket or thimble and a whole let less messy!!!

- Now can I look at the other replies???
