It's Not How We Drill, It's How We Drive!

Have you ever noticed what is really going on down the highway? I'm a professional driver. Have 100 of thousands of miles over the road and have at least a month and a half of schooling about driving. I know what I'm saying. Most people do not know how to drive their car to save gas. Everyone has got this thing all screwed around the wrong way. If you want to save on gas you can only do a few things to accomplish that. You must drive smart. 2) You must drive slower. 3.) You must drive less. 4.) You must learn to car pool. 5.) you must swap fancy cars for fuel efficiency cars. 6.) you must start taking the bus or the train. Most americans are not doing any of these things to save on oil. We are spoiled. Until we all change our strategy on how we drive and how often we drive all the drilling in the world won't stop the gloomy outcome. If you peel out at every stop sign or try to beat the other guy to work everyone will lose in the end. If you blast up every hill instead of taking your time you will burn it 3 times as fast.

In Pennsylvania they drilled for and hit the largest deposit of Natural Gas that the state had ever seen. It didn't drop the price one cent! It has actually gone up! Hitting more oil won't do any better either. The price is what it is because that's the way the people who own it all want it. Until we learn to drive smart or not at all, this is going to get worse. HELP fight high gas prices!

We need to continue to fight high gas prices. There is only one way, stop using so much oil and gas!

One way is to use AMSOIL. I've told you about it before, it's a 100% synthetic oil and nano fiber oil filter (new technology) that has a life of 25,000 miles or one year (whichever comes first).

Use 80% less oil.

Although gas mileage varies with vehicle, terrain, driver and weather I have always managed to get 20% more MPG with AMSOIL. For my Dodge Ram Diesel that was 3 more MPG. For my 2007 Toyota Camry 4 cyl, 6.4 more MPG on a trip from Missouri to California.

Amsoil handles high heat and freezing cold 55 degrees F below zero and more. Winter is coming folks. Even a moderately cold climate in the 40's can cause conventional oil to move very slow, taking as much as a minute to reach the top of the engine. That means wear. In freezing weather conventional oil gets so thick a car or truck won't start.

In hot climates oil dies at around 220 degrees F. ATF is even worse, so use AMSOIL. AMSOIL ATF lasts 3 times longer than conventional ATF. Protect your investment.

One case of AMSOIL and two Nano-Fiber oil filters (98.7% efficient) and that will take care of the average car or pickup for two years. Use the ATF too. Also buy Amsoil's nano fiber air filters.

Check the prices of other brands and how well they preform then buy AMSOIL and save.

My savings is about $735 a year or more in gas/diesel, oil, filters and labor.

All it will take is Russia to bully some nation, attack another nation like Poland and/or stop oil flow. A new cold war is already here. One minor conflict in the middle east will make oil prices go sky high.

Very good info Ray. I know the people where I live (Ont. gas $5.00 gal.) are walking more, buying bicycles, car pooling, making fewer trips into larger cities to shop, taking local vacations, buying electric scooters and motorbikes, moving closer to their work.
We are fighting back and I don't think it will change even if gas prices go down. Of course, all the food, etc. is going up because of delivery costs. Truckers and Merchants will have to figure that one out.
I had a friend many years ago with bad Arthritis and he said they likely could cure it but look at all the money the pill makers, Doctors, etc. would be out.
It is not only the cost but also the environment that people have to save and we must all do our part.

You have to read this one, it's about Charles H. Garrett and his invention and an article that was in Modern Mechanics in 1935. Very interesting that none of these inventions made onto the market. Garett's V8 ran on water for two days without stopping, and that's a documented fact in 1935!

I'm into electric cars too, 4 cents a mile and hope they combine thie electric/gas car/hho technology one day. To support my theory about suppression of free energy inventions just watch the movie "Who Killed The Electric Car"

What you see in the movie might just make you mad, it did me. I got the movie through netflix. Very interesting and you won't regret watching it. I even bought a copy to keep. It's probably available at a local video store.

Just think a minute why government wouldn't want free energy or electric cars or ultra high mileage cars like 200 mpg. It's about the economy. The dollar's value hinges on the world oil market, if we stop buying $700 billion a year in oil the dollar will crash on the world market. Yep that's stupid thinking, but then again it's politicians doing the thinking!

With electric cars there would be no need for gas stations, no mainteance required.

Even using HHO a lot less gas would be needed. Americans stopped driving just a little recently and already many states and the government are crying about lost gas taxes. According to recent polls we have the worst U.S. congress in the history of this country. It's pretty obvious they can't make a rational decision.

This week Democrats met to discuss raising the federal fuel tax by 10 cents. And they intend to raise the fuel tax by 40 cents.

If that isn't irrational I don't know what is. A 40 cent increase would shut a significant portion of the trucking industry down. It would certainly keep me at home more than I am now.

My family has cut driving over 50%.

So what's next? If the crazies in the middle east flare up or Iran is attached for their stupidity, you will see oil double, even triple.

The only solution I see is to get off oil period for transportation. But if you, yes you, don't write your government reps and do all you can to cut fuel usage regardless what those idiots in government do, we loose.

other ways to cut fuel costs:

1) Put Nitrogen in your tires instead of air www.getnitrogen.org you loose 25% of your fuel mileage with low tires!

2) Use synthetic oil instead of conventional oil; http://www.ExtremeDutyOil.com get better fuel mileage use 80% less oil. Once case of AMSOIL and two new technology nano fiber filters will take care of the average car for two years. I get 20% more mpg with AMSOIL.

3) Fuel up in the morning when it is cooler, you will get more fuel for your money.

5) Avoid rapid acceleration and rapid stopping.

6) Drive at a constant speed, avoid darting around, passing, accelerating to get by the 700 cars in front of your car. Settle back and enjoy the drive.

7) Shut off your engine when waiting for your better half to get out of the bank, store etc.. You are loosing significant gas mileage at idle.

8) Consolidate all your shopping, banking, errands into one trip.

10) Stay at the speed limits, the faster you go the more gas you use. Besides it's the law!

12) Shop around, keep your eye open as you go to work, church or to the store. Or check for the best gas prices in your area on your computer. You can save as much as 20 cents a gallon if you shop around.

13) Beware of using credit cards to purchase gas, some stations charge you way more and you often don't even realize it.
