The price of gas, which has dropped significantly, consumption and all related issues are something I had to face in a different way the other day. Our RAV's engine light went on so a diagnosis at the dealer showed that a sensor computer chip which controls the air/fuel mixture was defective. I was assuming incorrectly that a superior fuel additive, cleaning the air filter, etc. would have an effect on improving some of the obvious issues. The service technician said once this gets done we would notice an improvement.
My point is - it's not always just putting something in the gas tank or engine to cure something that needs replacing.
