INTRODUCTION

I am glad to introduce William’s Article of Virtue – Autism: the consequential truth.

How do you know him, William Vanderbilt or Billy Daddy? Well, from my point of understanding, he is most popular as Bill Daddy and I sure love to identify him with that nickname.

Bill Daddy is such an interesting personality who is most disturbed by injustices and misnomers perpetrated by people and groups all around us. This is shown by his discussions and posts in his forums and all over the community.

In this special work, Bill Daddy sure stray us from our ever busy world to a sinister reality that is ravaging our society today. Here he uses some clear facts to set our thoughts and sense of reasoning into action. Autism: from where did it originate from?

Man’s life and the environment is no more left in the hands of the Creator but ruined in man’s hands! Mother Nature is probably watching with so much pain while the children and the innocents suffer.

AUTISM: The Consequential Truth

Hello Sam and Friends

First, I would like to thank you Sam. Thank you for providing this community with one of the finest forums on the net. Thank you also for inviting me to be a part of this union of the minds. This forum is a perfect example of what I have always loved about Adlandpro.

In this article I wish to explore the possibilities of when we accept something as truth. Also, I want to discuss some of the consequences for accepting as truth, that which is not.

Perhaps online marketing would be a good place to start since most of us here have experience with the truths and untruths that are so much a part of our daily lives.

What criteria do most of us base our business decisions on? I know that I would like to think that no one would ever try to deceive me, but that concept has already been ruled out. I no longer take any advert at face value. I also no longer pass on any information as verifiable truth unless it is in fact, verifiable truth. We all know the possibilities and potential consequences from our own personal experience; right?

Now, onto a different scenario with more serious consequences, we have progressed to the point of doing business with only those whom we trust based on friendships and/or referrals from those whom we trust. What are the consequences of our higher standard of doing business? Some have learned that if you gain someone’s friendship and their trust, you can still scam them out of a few bucks. The concept being "the better friend I am, the better my scam” The trickle down effect is that true friends can be inadvertently scammed by each other and thus the need for even more refined marketing skills. Now, we can all see where this is leading, so let us take this to another, higher level.

Our society is designed in such a way that we must depend on outside sources for our safety, our security and in fact, our very lives. We have to depend on government agencies such as the CDC, FTC, FDA, EPA and the AMA. WE have no choice in this matter because we have no means of deciphering the truth from the untruth. We simply take the word of these "trusted agencies" at face value and live our lives accordingly.

Now, what happens when these agencies become infiltrated with those willing to take advantage of their positions for personal gains? These would be the spammers and scammers on the corporate and political levels.

Once upon a time, there was no Autism. Unfortunately though, there were such things as polio, whooping cough, measles, rubella and small pox. There was a need to find a cure, and a cure was presented. A very well researched, well documented and trusted cure was found and the public was thrilled to stand in line and pay their money and get their shots. The drug makers saw a huge market and responded quickly with more and more vaccines at a higher and higher cost. The public responded just as quickly and with money in hand they got in line with their babies. What a relief it was to no longer have to worry about such perils as polio and TB.

Suddenly, what we had assumed all along as being the truth was no longer so comforting. Suddenly the cure for one disease became the cause of another. A new disease appeared out of nowhere at just about the same time that vaccines became the medical marvel of the day. Autism was born in the 1930's and has continually been on the rise ever since; from a rate of a few per hundred thousand children to the most recent estimate of 1 out of every 150 children born in The United States Of America. In some places like New Jersey the rate is 1 out of every 60 children born in this country will be diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. Perhaps coincidentally, the number of vaccines injected into our children has been rising right along with the autism rate. Oddly enough though, according to all of the research I can find, there are certain segments of our society that seem to be immune to autism. Two in particular: the Amish and a certain community in the suburbs of Chicago who all go to the same group of medical practitioners. What do these two otherwise completely unrelated groups of people have in common? They Do Not Vaccinate!

So, where is the truth? How do we tell it apart from the untruths? Who is ultimately responsible for the consequences resulting from our willingness to accept as truth that which is not?

For the sake of all of our children with autism and the sake of those yet to be born, find your truth. Babies have only their Mom's and Dad's to depend on for their security and their survival. Know in your heart that what you pass onto them is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Who else can they trust?

Think about it! This is the consequential truth!

William is a very passionate man especially when it comes to children and mental health.

Anyone that knows him knows this about him. He makes his feelings known to everyone, he leaves nothing to question.
His article makes us think and question what the truth is. How can we be assured that those in charge of our safety and health are telling us the truth? He sets before us facts that cannot be denied. The fact that Autism is running rampant when it was not even heard of during the 20’s.

The fact that these phenomenons begin to occur shortly after the vaccines for polio and TB were introduced. The comparison to those groups that do not vaccinate has to make one wonder: is there really a connection between vaccines and Autism?

I would have liked to have seen a few more statistics for this article, but I feel he really wanted to get others thinking more than stating data. The article is thought provoking and should bring about some interesting conversation amongst us as usual.

Wonderful choice for this month thread! Bill Daddy is indeed a very dedicated, warm hearted person especially when it comes to children (in general) and his family (particularly) This fact alone, speaks for him and his character!

I am one of your funs, from the beginning and I read your posts with great interest; I'm not a so called "specialist" in autism, but your Article (this one and the many more about this topic around) gave me some perspective about it. Your question is just legitimate and I agree that even when it comes to vaccines and any other medicines, no matter what others say, it comes first the PROFFIT! - the rest are "insignificant" side affects or "necessary collateral damage"

Reading your Article, and thinking about "the possible truth" another question rosed in my mind: What if the kids are affected by the vaccines their parents got, leading to some kind of "mutations"?... beside that think about the many "garbage" we eat! ... which in addition, "helps a lot" - than the lots of stress and luck of patience with the kids even in their early days! Often, even teachers, rush in to say about an un-usually kid as not being able to focus, when in fact the teacher is not able to find the way to reach out to his mind and interest!!! Its much easier to say he has Attention Deficiency?! We - grown-ups- are too focused on material part of our life than the spiritual one - and I'm not talking about God and Church!
Some thinks that SPIRITUAL ENDS UP THERE!

Well, this is a very interesting Article, able to rise many issues and discussions! ... and I'm sure you just touched a very important point!!! Looking for the truth isn't so easy these days with so many "true" and "false-true" informations around!

As always, it is a pleasure to hear from you. Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts and feelings.

You have brought up something that I planned on discussing a little later on in this forum but, now is as good a time as any.

You mentioned the spiritual side of life. Not in a religious sense but in how our inner being relates to the universe around us. This is an aspect of healing that I have been researching for a long time now.

Autism, like other illnesses and disorders, seems to transcend the physical boundaries that we are so accustomed to. There are those who somehow rise above all of the limitations placed on them by their disabilities. While many with autism spend their entire lives never escaping the grasp of their affliction, others seem to miraculously transcend their prescribed destiny. While no earthly explanation seems adaquet for some healing processes there seems to be a spiritual side of healing that defies common logic. There are many stories of people who have survived against all odds and predictions. People who have survived terminal cancer, strokes, heart attacks and any number of life threatening illnesses. Autism has it's share of miraculous healings as well. So, there is always hope. No matter how hopeless ones situation seems to be there is always hope.

I will share some stories of these miracles as we move along in this discussion. Perhaps we can uncover some of the secrets of the spirit and instill a little hope in some who are now hopeless.

I kindly Thank you both for all of your kind words and for this opportunity to present this advocacy for autism to this community. Autism has been a pet project for me for about 3 years now and something very dear to my heart. So, I just can't Thank You enough for allowing me this opportunity to share with you, some of what I have learned about one of the saddest of human experiences.

To put this into perspective I would like to present a hypothetical situation that is actually the reality in the lives of many, many families around the world. Having five beautiful, healthy children of my own is perhaps the driving force behind my compassion for the cause of autism. I am just so thankful for the blessings bestowed upon me through my children that I want all families to be able to experience life with the same joy and happiness that I have had.

As many of you know, Ally and I have a new baby. Her name is Savannah Rose and she will be 1 year old on the 20th of this month. Right at the age where we have to face many decisions regarding her health and and happiness for the rest of her life.

Right now she is doing very well. She is a very happy baby who just loves to play and interact with people. She has been walking for about 2 months. She mimics nearly everything we do and is beginning to learn a few words. She understands much of what we say to her and reacts eagerly to our requests to bring us her sippy cup or prepare for a diaper change. She loves to dance and sing along with any music she hears. She chases after her sister and they take turns being the boss. In other words, Savannah is just the perfect, happy little baby and is simply a joy to have in our lives.

Now, I try to imagine how different our lives would be if suddenly, Savannah transformed into a totally different kind of baby. Here is the reality that autism imposes on the lives of so many families around the world.

Now imagine that Savannah has gotten a little older. Maybe 2. She is running around having fun all the time. Laughing and playing with friends and family. She is speaking in short sentences now and understands most everything you say to her. She responds to our emotions now too. She laughs when we laugh. She cries when we cry.

Then, one morning, upon waking her, we notice something different. She won't look at us and she isn't smiling like she usually does every morning. She doesn't seem to want to get out of bed. We ask her what is the matter but she doesn't respond to us at all. It is as if we aren't even in the same room. We finally get her up but she is very despondent. She won't eat her breakfast and begins to cry. Nothing can console her and she continues to cry. Then she tries to talk to us but her words seen unconnected, not in sentences. Her sister tries to get her to play but she ignores her completely and becomes transfixed on the motion of the ceiling fan. As the days go by she becomes more and more despondent and refuses to even look at us. She spends her time rocking back and forth in a corner of the room, isolated from the rest of the family. In time, she loses more and more of her vocabulary to the point of becoming incapable of communicating any of her thoughts and feelings. She cries a lot now. She cannot stand going into public places like the grocery store or daycare. She never wants to play and she doesn't laugh anymore. It is as if someone came and took our little Savannah away from us and left beft behind another little baby that doesn't know us and doesn't want to be around us.

This is the reality of autism. Not in all cases but, this is a very similar scenario to some that have been described to me and is in many of the personal stories I have read. No matter how hard I try, I just can't really imagin how different life would be having watched helplessly, as my little baby went through this transition. Not being able to help her or even comfort her when she cried. Not seeing her smiling face every morning when she woke up. No, I just can't imagin how different life would be.

As always, it is very nice hearing from again. You have been an active supporter for my causes for as long as I have been around here and I really appreciate it. Thank you for the support and your friendship Patricia.

While I do still have plenty more research to present here, there is another train of thought that I would like to introduce. Something based just on my own personal thoughts and feelings.

I am one that believes that humans are, by nature, kind and caring. I find it so difficult to believe that some people would intentionally harm others for the sake of profit or power. SO, I began looking for other reasons for why it appears that so many are so willing to look the other way while people are apparently being harmed.

I believe that those who first discovered vaccines had good intentions. They truly did want to help, rather than harm other human beings. Then, in their haste to save lives, perhaps, action was taken before enough research could be done to discover the possible hazards involved with their healing techniques.

Before you know it, entire industries are built around a healing concept that later on become problematic. Millions of people are employed in the medical field and the pharmaceutical industry. Huge segments of society became dependent upon these industries for their livelihood. Entire economies have become dependent upon these industries. What would be the consequences if the pharmaceutical industry just dissolved because suddenly, there was no market for their goods because of the lack of trust in them by the general population. Even just the economic impact would be devastating. I suppose this could be incentive to perpetuate the vicious circle of causing certain illnesses to keep an industry busy finding cures for those illnesses. After all, the sacrificial lamb has been a part of our destiny since the beginning of recorded time.

Thank You for your kind words and for your continued support of my advocacies. Thank You also for your service to this country.

Friends, for those of you who may not know, Jo is a veteran. She proudly served her country as a member of the Army. Saaaa Luuute.

Now, with regard to autism, I have to point out that it is not my intention to even pretend to be an expert on the subject. I have done a lot of research on this though and I have formed some opinions. Based on this research, Ally and I have decided that we will not subject Savannah to any more vaccinations. At least not until there are some changes made regarding the vaccine scedualing and the removal of some ingredients that are proven to be potential health risks. We do not feel like vaccines have no value but under the current program guidelines we feel that the risks may outweigh the benefits.

It is my intention here to increase public awareness about these potential risks and present information that may help others make sound decisions regarding the health and welfare of their children. Our children are our future and presently, 1 out of every 150 children born in this country are facing a very challenging future. Not a hopeless future but, a very challenging future.

Hi Bill Daddy,

I was very touched with the subject and to be able to review your article in hit home with me on many different levels. I have several cousins with children the same ages as mine. Mine range in age from 35 to 12. Three of my cousins have children with autism . One is highly functional and the other two some what less. I also have several friends that have children with it as well. I know the struggles they face raising these very special children. If you have ever seen them it can be heartbreaking.

I did not vaccinate any of my seven children. I choose to use transfer factors instead. They are immune builders and address each disease in a similar manners as does the vaccines they are costly and of coarse insurance did not pay for them. The FDA does not approve them either , but they are safe, natural and have NO side effects. As a mother I had to be assured my children would not be harmed and the medical profession would not guarantee me none of my children would be harmed. They told me .01 % and if you calculate that it is somewhere around 150,000 children world wide each year.

I am very glad I found and chose this route instead of the vaccines. The biggest issues I have found in research is for many there are no side effects and than there are those unfortunate few (one is too many) that seem to get this dreaded mental condition autism.

Each person must decide for himself what the truth is for himself. As for me, polio is worse than autism. When you have polio, your muscles can stop working, and you'll then die a slow and agonizing death by suffocation. No one will know that you're trying to gasp for oxygen, since none of your muscles will be moving. People who come by your bed will say, "Ah, he's dying so peacefully. I wish everyone could die like that." Little do they know...

Your oxygen-starved brain may hallucinate. You may see yourself in a closed coffin as you continue to gasp for breath (or think you're gasping for breath). You will think, "What am I doing in here? I'm not dead yet! They must have buried me alive! Got to get out fast! Got to breathe! Got to breathe now!" You will scream and kick away at the coffin walls (or think you're doing so, when in reality your paralyzed muscles are absolutely still). And your onlookers will say, "He's so peaceful, not moving at all." Little do they know...

It will be several agonizing minutes for you as you slowly die by suffocation, and no one else will know it.

Yes, polio is awful. So are any of the other serious illnesses that kill you by cutting off your oxygen or by stopping your muscles so that they can't inhale. I don't know about anyone else, but I sure am thankful for the immunizations and vaccines for all those horrible diseases! The side effects (e.g., autism) are not nearly as bad as the diseases that the immunizations prevent.

Thank you for stopping by and offering your terrifying rendition of Death By Polio. If I were to base my opinion of the polio vaccine on this description I think I would make a move to replace milk with more vaccines. However, I tend to dig much deeper than the scare tactics of the CDC permit me to go.

When researching the pros and cons of vaccines one must consider the sources of the research. You will find that much of the research supporting vaccines is funded and promoted by the very organizations with the most to gain from such research reports. While the drug makers do spend a hugh amount of money on reasearch and promotion, I would like to point out that much of this budget is dedicated to powerful lobbying groups in Washington D.C.

Here is some research presented by a group with much less to gain by the positive reviews. Unless of course you consider a generation of healthy children as a gain.

The Truth Behind the Vaccine Coverup, Part 2 (of 5)

Now this next statement should shock everyone, but especially the poor who in any way think that these "vaccinologists" experts have their best interest in mind. Dr. Johnson says on page 17, "We agree that it would be desirable to remove mercury from U.S. licensed vaccines, but we did not agree that this was a universal recommendation that we would make because of the issue concerning preservatives for delivering vaccines to other countries, particularly developing countries, in the absence of hard data that implied that there was, in fact, a problem."

So, here you have it. The data is convincing enough that the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Family Practice, as well as the regulatory agencies and the CDC along with these organization all recommend its removal as quickly as possible because of concerns of adverse effects of mercury on brain development, but not for the children in the developing countries

The Real Purpose of Child Health Programs

I thought the whole idea of child health programs in the United States directed toward the developing world was to give poor children a better chance in an increasingly competitive world. The policy being advocated would increase the neurodevelopmental problems seen in poor children (also in this country) of developing countries, impairing their ability to learn and develop competitive minds.

Remember, there was a representative of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. John Clements, serving on this panel of "experts." He never challenged this statement made by Dr. Johnson.

It also needs to be appreciated that children in developing countries are at a much greater risk of complications from vaccinations and from mercury toxicity than children in developed countries. This is because of poor nutrition, concomitant parasitic and bacterial infections and a high incidence of low birth weight in these children.

We are now witnessing a disaster in African countries caused by the use of older live virus polio vaccines that has now produced an epidemic of vaccine-related polio. That is, polio caused by the vaccine itself. In fact, in some African countries, polio was not seen until the vaccine was introduced.

How does the WHO and the "vaccinologist experts" from this country now justify a continued polio vaccination program with this dangerous vaccine? Now that they have created the epidemic of polio, they cannot stop the program.

In a recent article, it was pointed out that this is the most deranged reasoning, since more vaccines will mean more vaccine-related cases of polio. But then, "vaccinologists" have difficulty with these "uncertainties." (Jacob JT. A developing country perspective on vaccine-associated paralytic poliomyelitis. Bulletin WHO 2004; 82: 53-58. See commentary by D.M. Salisbury at the end of the article.)

Then he again emphasizes the philosophy that the health of children is secondary to "the program" when he says, "We saw some compelling data that delaying the birth dose of HepB vaccine would lead to significant disease burden as a consequence of missed opportunity to immunize." This implies our children would be endangered from the risk of hepatitis B should the vaccine program stop vaccinating newborns with the HepB vaccine.

In fact, this statement is not based on any risk to U.S. children at all and he makes that plain when he states, "that the potential impact on countries that have 10 percent to 15 percent newborn hepatitis B exposure risk was very distressing to consider." (page 18)

Thank you everyone involved and of course special thanks to Sammy, Geketa and of course William.

Bill loves to champion this cause and I admire anyone who has the courage of their convictions and sticks at the task in hand.

Whatever the truth of the matter is, attention to detail and consistancy make for a successful otcome. If anyone deserved to see an outcome it is Bill.

My work with Autistic folk has led me to the belief that, having separated the cause and being faced with the result in the form of a particular sufferer I frequently see somebody with very specific skills.

Autism has many faces and manifests itself in a huge variety of ways, but, we must never forget the person with this manifestation. Too often the HUGE levels of skill or brilliance in a certain sphere of human actvity are overlooked by those who try to TREAT a PATIENT. So often autistic sufferers have skills that we could only dream of owning, lets spend time in developing these skills and in supporting these people when their social skills don't matych the accepted.

Bill, keep up your great work. People, lets support our autistic friends and benefit from what they have to offer instead of concentrating upon the sometimes difficult social manifeswtations.

Thank You so much for stopping by and offering such a wonderful perspective on autism. One that, like you mention, is often overlooked.

There are many examples where people with autism have extrordinary gifts that challenge even the wildest imagination. Many people are familiar with the term " Autistic savant " due to the Movie " The Rain Man ".

I too believe that while we are concentrating on the causes and cures of autism we should also be trying to unravel the mysteries of the gifts that are also a part of the Autism Spectrum Disorder. I happen to one of the many people who believe in a very spiritual concept that one mans suffering is another mans salvation. GREAT article. I was totally unaware that it did not exist prior to the vacines that have been around since the 20's - I found that interesting and thought provoking. What is the solution, as it seems we have invented a vicious circle.

We have an autistic 6 year old in the family. One of the things l learmed while they were going though the diagnotic process with Zeke, was there are SO many faces and levels that autism can take on. It's so devastating for his two sisters and mom and dad, who from one day to the next are unaware of the behavior they may have to face.

Your passion and advocacy of those who suffer from autism is so much to be admired.

I am looking forward to your responses throughout this forum, as i think I will learn a lot.

The following is an exerpt from an article that I read a long time ago. It is somewhat unique in that it lead me to other very interesting articles regarding the very first cases of diagnosed autism. There is a mixture of science and personal experience in many of these articles. I am hoping to present this Consequential Truth from both perspectives during this discussion.

In 1943, a child known only as Frederick W. became part of the first medical report of a strange new disorder. Frederick was Case 2 of 11 children whose behavior “differed markedly and uniquely from anything reported so far,” wrote Dr. Leo Kanner, the psychiatrist at Johns Hopkins University who introduced the syndrome to the world and named it “autism.”

Kanner didn’t know why the children, all born in the 1930s, acted that way but noticed the parents were college-educated and career-oriented: lawyers, psychiatrists, scientists.

Now, Frederick W.’s father has been identified by this reporter, who has written about autism for two years for United Press International, as a scientist named Frederick L. Wellman, and new information has been unearthed that suggests Wellman’s career might indeed be a clue–though not the kind Kanner detected.

In layman’s terms, Wellman collected cabbage seeds infected with a common fungus and dunked some of them in a solution of mercury salts and hot water. “The lots treated with mercuric [chloride] were shaken vigorously at first to get thorough contact with the solution,” he wrote.

Ethyl mercury is also the active ingredient in a vaccine preservative called thimerosal.

It might be just another coincidence that the father of autism’s Case 2 was working with new ethyl mercury compounds seven decades ago when his son was born.

Case 1 grew up in a town called Forest, Miss., surrounded by logging camps, lumber mills, and a national forest being planted by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Forest is 50 miles from the Mississippi sawmills where ethyl mercury fungicides were first tested in the United States in 1929 to preserve lumber, a practice that quickly became widespread; that child was born in 1933.

Case 3 was the son of “a professor of forestry in a southern university,” Kanner wrote. That university has been identified as North Carolina State–the same school where Frederick L. Wellman ended his career as a visiting professor. Case 3’s father began research on Southern pines when he joined the N.C. State faculty in 1935.

In 1936, he assisted in the planting of pine seedlings in the university’s newly acquired Hofmann Forest. His son was born in 1937. Organic mercury fungicides, including an ethyl mercury brand, were often used to prevent “damping off” or fungal contamination of pine seedlings during that era.

An advocate of the mercury-autism hypothesis says the pattern in those early cases strengthens his concern.

“So now we have learned that Frederick Wellman handled ethyl mercury fungicides that were first introduced to the market in 1929 and that his child was Kanner’s patient No. 2,” says Mark Blaxill, whose daughter Michaela has autism. Blaxill is vice president of the advocacy organization SafeMinds, which argues increased mercury exposure is behind the soaring autism rate. “And we know that cases 1 and 3 grew up around the first application of ethyl mercury products. If that’s not a smoking gun, I don’t know what is,” Blaxill continues.

This is such a complex issue. When my youngest (He's 31 now) was little his father and I were aware of possible dangers of vaccinations and chose not to give him some of them. The complicated part began when he was ready to enter school and they wouldn't let him in without proof of certain vaccinations. At that time it was still possible to get exceptions according to beliefs, but in many cases, now it is not.

One of our current challenges in society is to sort out the truths from the lies we have been told by people with ulterior motives and less than perfect moral standards, and I do believe progress is being made in part by people like you.

It is amazing that 31 years ago you and your husband had the insight and knowledge that enabled you to make such a controversial decision. It is even more amazing that you found the courage to take such a stand against the proponents of vaccines.

Yes, it has become quite difficult to get exemptions from vaccinating our children. Most states still exemptions based on either religious or medical criteria. A few states have an additional exemption based on philosophical beliefs.

Thanks for bringing us another "Article of Virtue", thanks to Geketa, Judy, Terry and Sharon for your contributions.

Special thanks to BillDaddy, for presenting his views and his efforts on bringing Autism to the forefront. I do believe he went off topic a bit with his comparison and conspiracy inroads with regards to the disease or affliction.

The fact that the very vaccines that have saved countless millions or people from the diseases that they were meant to conquer. I am happy that none of my children succumbed to any of the disease nor did they manifest autism. So in my view the vaccines have been a success.

I took some time to do a search on the history of Autism. I found that most of Bill's factoids were correct except for the fact that prior to 1913, autism was often diagnosed as Schizophrenia. So while there may be some evidence contrary to the belief that this malady was brought on by the use of specific vaccines seems to be questionable. Further research would have to be done to prove or disprove the theory that Autism is caused by vaccines.

We must also accept the fact that autism has been around a lot longer than introduction of vaccines, in the 1920's.

Bill, thanks for bringing this to our attention and being a champion for those afflicted with autism.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your views with us. I believe that it is very important to show both sides of the coin and your post gives us the opportunity to clarify a few misconceptions.

First of all, I know of no research that indicates that vaccines are "the cause " of autism ". Actually, the very first cases were attributed to certain components containing mercury that were introduced into society through experimentation in the agriculture industry. It was actually several years later that vaccines became suspect due to the fact that they contained mercury and certain vaccines were being associated with a type of disorder that had not been observed before. At that point, the search was on to find the cause of this new disorder called autism.

Early on it was discovered that rather than being a psychological disorder, autism appeared to have a more biologically based origin. It is a misconception that autism was mistaken for schizophrenia and existed for any period prior to the introduction of mercury into the food chain.

I am very glad that you nor any of your family members have ever had to endure any of the diseases that have been responsive to vaccines. However, this is little consolation for the families that do have to suffer the consequences of either the diseases or the side effects of the attempted eradication of such diseases.

While it has been prov en that some vaccines have benefited mankind tremendously, it has been equally prov en that in many cases, vaccines have actually caused disease as well. Further research on your part will prove this theory out.

The following is a bit of the early history of autism and the beginning of the research to find it's causes.

Leo Kanner

Back in 1943, Dr. Leo Kanner (1894-1981) of John Hopkins University published the paper, “Autistic Disturbances of Affective Contact” in the Journal Nervous Child. He described the behavior of 11 children. Observing one of the children, Donald T., Kanner remarks, “He seems to be self-satisfied. He has no apparent affection when petted. He does not observe the fact that anyone comes or goes, and never seems glad to see father or mother or any playmate. He seems almost to draw into his shell and live within himself.” In describing these children, Kanner used the word “autism” from the Greek word “auto” meaning “self”. Kanner’s choice of “autism” perhaps had only been used once before in the field of disabilities and that in reference to schizophrenia. Unfortunately, autism has been erroneously confused with childhood schizophrenia perhaps due in part to the initial use of the word autism with schizophrenia. To be sure, autism and schizophrenia are different!

Even in this very earliest 1943 description of autism, Kanner emphasizes the role biology plays in the cause of autism affirming, “The children’s aloneness from the beginning of life makes it difficult to attribute the whole picture exclusively to the type of the early parental relations with our patients…We must, then assume that these children have come into the world with innate inability to form the usual biologically provided affective contact with people” (p. 50).

Dear Friends

I would like to take a moment here to direct your attention to what I consider an alarming trend here in the U.S as well as in other countries. That trend involves forced vaccinations upon our society through the use of the criminal law system. There is legislation being considered in several states that will make it a crime, punishable by fines and imprisonment for failing to follow the CDC recommended guidelines for vaccinating our children.

This legislation is being presented at a time when sound research is raising many concerns about the safety and effectiveness of vaccines. I find it very odd that while more and more evidence is being presented regarding the potential risks involved with vaccines that there is also more legislation being presented forcing us to ignore these risks.

I strongly urge everyone to take this matter very seriously. We are facing a crises that not only involves the safety and welfare of our children but also a political crises that further erodes our freedom and rights as citizens of this great nation. I do not expect anyone to take my word for any of this but I do strongly encourage everyone to do their own research and make their decisions based on that research. We have a duty as citizens and especially as parents to give due diligence to the health and welfare of our future generations.

I am impressed as well as amazed at the amount of research you have done and the information you are providing in this discussion is so educational. I just finished reading through all of it. And, I am the first to admit that it was take three more readings in solitude and confinement for me to absorb it all. I get hung up on little things. Zeke is the oldest of 3 and his siblings who were vacinated just as he was are fine. I was born in the late 40's - I was vaccinated as were all of my siblings and none were affected. So, the little question becomes, why does it (the mercury) in the vacsines affect - if indeed it is the "cause" - affect some and not others? Is is a gene that is present in one and not the other?

I have seen documentaries and 60 Minute presentations of autistic children who have mathematical genius, and yet they can's dress themselves. There was one who is a musical savant, but he can't tie his shoes or feed himself, and yet he played the piano - by ear and can mimic even the great classicals. Zeke can't speak one word, and thus far has demonstrated no particular "genius". There is the earlier example of the the boy who's remembers verything. These questions and zillions more make me crazy. So I cannot imagine what they must do to the researchers who know so much more and still can't figure it out.

Needless to say, I will be back to this forum and discussion and look forward to continued learning.

There is no question that autism is still a mystery even with all of the recent discoveries about it's causes and conditions. There seems to be a genetic predisposition in the mix as well as a biological link and so far, little is known about why some are more susceptible than others.

I believe that the important thing is that we have finally reached the point where the truth is at least being sought out. Autism is like so many other diseases in that it seems to almost randomly selects it's victims. An example of this is very well portrayed in my own family. My father smoked cigarettes for over 60 of his 77 years on this earth and had no signs of cancer or serious lung disease when he died. My Grandmother on my Mother's side died of lung cancer in her early 60's and never smoked or drank alcohol in her whole life.

The truth is out there somewhere and I am very glad that we are finally on the right track to finding that truth. I believe that a very important step in this process is that we begin to take on more individual responsibility in the shaping of our own destinies. Also, I believe that there needs to be more accountability on the part of those willing to distort the truth for personal gain. Without that accountability there will never be the incentive for some to seek out only the real truth. There will always be the incentive for some to either distort the truth or even manufacture their own truth for the sake of power and profit.

Very good article Billdaddy! And yes, scam is the perfect word. Those that we trust and look to for our care are the very ones that us astray, for the love of money no less. Unfortunately, profit is the name of the game where our healing is concerned. And then we find out that there is really no true healing. Just as you said, we just see a different condition thrust upon us, only to be treated, to see a new condition... and so on and so on.

The average person in their 60's takes a variety of prescription meds, each masking a different condition, some taking as much as 15 pills a day. What we don't realize is that each of these meds have side effects that we are not told about.

The truth is, health is very achievable...... naturally. And by this I mean proper diet, exercise, and supplements. But our modern day physicians will let us go on with our unhealthy lifestyle, providing us with those unhealthy and expensive medications.

Thank you for this article. I know someone's eyes have been opened. By the way, vaccinations is also a cause of SIDS and other conditions.

I will let you in on secret.... Since finding this out, I no longer vaccinate Misty, my furbaby. I treat her naturally and at 9 years old she has the stamina of a puppy. In fact, just this past weekend I had her on the back of a pickup truck and as it was moving, she jumped off and decided to accompany the other dog running by the truck.

I could go on and on..... but I will get off my soapbox right now.

Hundreds, perhaps thousands of farmers around the world are being sued after Monsanto's police "find" their patented crops on the farmers' lands without paying for use of the technology. Also see the Monsanto Technology Agreement, in which farmers must sign away all rights in order to sow Monsanto seed

Congratulations Bill Daddy! You have written both a thought provoking and controversial article. Its great to see it featured here.

What is truth? What can we believe? Who can we believe?

Advertising is targeted and often skirts the truth. It is meant to sell and it does. That does not make it "right."

Politicians do the same thing. They sell themselves ... their ideals and we are to believe what they say.

All too often the solution creates another problem. Especially with medications there is usually always a trade off. The individual has to decide for themselves whether the trade off is worth it or not.

When a child is involved it makes the decision making that much more difficult.

We are living in a society that is becoming more cynical ... where Trust is dwindling. What a shame!

Do we question those who "KNOW?" Where is the line between what we believe to be true and what is?

It is so nice hearing from you again. It has been a long time since I have heard from you. The perspective that you have added here has a special significance for me because of some similarities in our lives. We both have some personal experience with another painful aspect of life. I have been to your forum about depression and found some very interesting conversation going on there. Here is a quote from one of your posts there.

Depression is an ugly illness and I understand it has physiological components to it, but I strongly believe the underlying problems are compounded by not understanding ones self and the time for understanding is before a person sinks so low it is difficult to climb out.

Yes. Understanding ones self is perhaps our greatest defense againt any of the perils of living. There is research that supports both sides of nearly every issue that we could even think of but in the end, the real truth will only be proven in our minds by moving through our hearts. There are so many illnesses with "unknown" causes that we need to be vigilante. I believe people are slowly beginning to change their way of thinking. I believe we are understanding all the "miracle" drugs and products on the market aren't necessarily the "miracle" they were thought to be.

During my research, I discovered something that really shocked me. With all of the different types of illness around the world and the amount of research being done to find cures, I would have never guessed what the number one killer of infants was up untill the 1990's. I am even more amazed at how simple the cure was. Maybe we just need to get back to the basics.

A simple mixture of salts, sugar and water has saved the lives of more babies than any other type of treatment.

Infant mortality is defia mixture of salts, sugar, and waterned as the number of deaths of infants (one year of age or younger) per 1000 live births. The most common cause of infant mortality worldwide has traditionally been dehydration from diarrhea. Because of the success of spreading information about Oral Rehydration Solution (a mixture of salts, sugar, and water) to mothers around the world, the rate of children dying from dehydration has been decreasing and has become the second most common cause in the late 1990s. Currently the most common cause is pneumonia. Major causes of infant mortality in more developed countries include congenital malformation, infection and SIDS.

Infanticide, abuse, abandonment, and neglect may also contribute to infant mortality
