Did Christ really rise from the dead?

"Christ has indeed been raised from the dead."
(1 Corinthians 15:20).

After that he appeared to more than five hundred
of the brothers at the same time,... (1 Corinthians 15:6).

Jesus said, "...I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever!..."
(Revelation 1:18).

God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact.
(Acts 2:32).

It is true! The Lord has risen....
(Luke 24:34).

I know that my Redeemer (Jesus Christ) lives,....
(Job 19:25).

Why should any of you consider it incredible that God raises the dead?
(Acts 26:8).

The fool says in his heart, "There is no God."
(Psalm 14:1).

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,....
(1 Corinthians 1:18).

You fools, when will you become wise?
(Psalm 94:8).

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Charles Darwin proposed the theory of evolution.

Charles Darwin hereby speaks for himself:
"I may here also confess that as a little boy
I was much given to inventing deliberate falsehoods,
and this was always done for the sake of causing excitement."

I just want to do God's will.
--Martin Luther King, Jr.

To be a Christian without prayer
is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.
---Martin Luther King, Jr.

Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.
--- Martin Luther King, Jr

If man hasn't discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live.
-- Martin Luther King Jr.

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
--- Martin Luther King, Jr.

That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind.
---Martin Luther King, Jr.

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
--Martin Luther King, Jr.

Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal.
---Martin Luther King, Jr.

An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust,
and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment
in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice,
is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law.
--Martin Luther King, Jr.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
--- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Law and order exist for the purpose of establishing justice
and when they fail in this purpose they become the dangerously structured dams that block the flow of social progress.
---Martin Luther King, Jr.

Whatever your life's work is, do it well.
A man should do his job so well
that the living, the dead, and the unborn could do it no better.
--- Martin Luther King, Jr.

The first question which the priest and the Levite asked was:
If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?
But... the good Samaritan reversed the question:
If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?
--- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into friend.
--- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness;
only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate;
only love can do that.
--- Martin Luther King, Jr.

I have decided to stick with love.
Hate is too great a burden to bear.
----Martin Luther King, Jr.

Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?'
Expediency asks the question, 'Is it politic?'
But conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?'
And there comes a time when one must take a position
that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular
but because conscience tells one it is right.
--- Martin Luther King, Jr.

The time is always right to do what is right.
--- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Our morals, values, ethics, right and wrong are very similar and this is what I feel makes the friendship become closer and last.

I did not realize you were a Jew, - And a Christian too? Doubly blessed. Lovely.
I never met any Jews back in New Zealand, maybe they did not immigrate that
far south and especially travel into the Central North Island where I am from. I
agree they were not out proselytizing (I had to look that word and it's meaning
as I had not heard of it before)

We had our fair share of Jehovah's Witness, Seven Day Adventists and Mormons
call around to everyone in our street at various times through the years to witness
their beliefs. Most of us 'duck for cover' when we saw them walking the street and
getting closer to your house.
We had a family of Jehovah's Witness call on us here shortly after we moved in.
They came about 3 times, they were nice people yet their agenda was to tell us
about their beliefs and leave their booklets. We invited them to come visit anytime
but be warned that we were not in agreement with their beliefs. There are so
many other topics we could talk about as the lady said they had pet dogs and liked
gardening, lived in the country in our area etc. They have not returned, which is kinda sad that they felt that way.

New Zealand is more conservative when talking to new people and acquaintances,
we do not discuss or ask many personal questions that people ask and talk about
here in the States. We just do not go there...We would not dream of asking another how much they make at their job, or ask how much they paid for something unless
we knew them really well. We usually wait for the other to tell us what they want us
to know and don't go digging.

Amanda

Re: The end of the constitutional republic?

Hi Amanda,

I am so sorry for all your broken pipes and leaks. We had that happen one time while we were away in Texas visiting my oldest daughter. What a mess we returned to. Thankfully it was frozen until we got home and then had to thaw everything out we had to replace most of the plumbing pipes in the house. Just like you the toilet broke too ours was due to a power outage while we were away.

I don't believe just because two people have different religions that they can't be friends and share common interest. Jews don't proselytize their friends its just not something we do. So you are safe with me in that respect and on certain issues we will have to agree to disagree.

The moral fabric of much of the world seems to be at a critical breakdown and the sad part is they are so ignorant they don't even see it . Nothing is scared for many any longer and truth is in the eyes of the beholder. We are in a sad state globally.

Geketa
