I recieved this from a friend today and really felt I needed to to post this. Please contribute if you wish and be respectful of everyone's feelings. Women and men are welcome. Thanks, Pat

Why Women Cry
Watch her eyes

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him. "I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"
"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.
Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said - "When I made the woman she had to be special.

I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort.

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."

"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

Your Woman

Pain is passion, a bad love turns to hate,

if a relationship is not working, it must be blamed on fate

When the glint in her eye and that special smile are gone,

that is a good indication that something is very wrong

When was the last that you held her, when was the last you kissed,

have you ever told her, how much she has been missed

A woman is a rare flower, to be taken care of each and every day,

treat her with the utmost respect, she might change her mind and stay

Shower her with kindness; do not try to pretend,

give her the respect she deserves, treat her like your best friend

Arm and arm, she loves the feel, the warmth of a caressing hand,

you must realize what could be lost if you do not take a stand

Bring on the flowers, dinners and such,

whatever you do will never be too much

Tell her that you love her with all your heart,

and you will find, that each day brings a whole new start.

Yep my sister Pam says I'm "emotionally gifted" which means I'm a cryer!!

I'm a big softy.

I cry when I'm happy, sad, worried, proud.........

Women feel and think with their hearts.

The tears that flow come from the heart.

This was beautiful and true, and Nick's poem was so beautiful too.

Yes, the tears flowed my dears.

I can't help it!

Hi Sarah, Cuddles back to you, you big softty!! Don't you like the term "EMOTIONALLY GIFTED" ??

I think my sister heard the phrase on Oprah. We laugh about it cuz we're such cryers. You should have seen me at my nephews and niece's high school graduation and when they got married!! WATER WORKS!!

Hi Pat, Crying is an emotional release that makes the person feel better. I rarely cry, perhaps once a year or so. I guess I am one of those stoic Scandanavians. We rarely show our emotions. It is either an inherited trait, or we learn from our mothers and sisters actions. DonnaZ

Hi Donna. My aunt Jo is like you...she isn't a cryer. One of her daughters is and the other 2 aren't! Both my sister and I are. I'm not sure it's inherited...I think you either ARE...or aren't.....God bestowes the flow of tears!

Hi Patricia.

What a great poem. Woman ARE appreciated but there might be some men that find it hard to express their feelings; fortunately that was never my problem.

Many a time though a woman can burst into tears and the man in her life has no inkling what caused the outburst and sometimes I'm not convinced that the woman has any idea either.

Nick my friend. You are one talented fella. That was a beautiful poem, keep 'em coming please.

Thanks for your note about "why women cry" Nick. Without getting really political, I attended a big party Election night with both women and men attending. When it was evident that Senator Obama won the presidency, both men and women were breaking into tears of joy.

I can identify with Cleopatra Nelson for sure!!

I know what you mean Midge, I got tears too after I read this piece. Hubby doesn't understand why I'm so emotional. My sister says she & I are EMOTIONALLY GIFTED. I think Women are more sensitive and more emotional than men. Women are "soulful creatures".....

Your picture says WORDS Nick. I know very well that men can cry torrents of tears too. It's been a rough couple of months for my husband and I since his mom died in September. Neither one of us are ashamed to show emotion. Thanks for your picture Nick and for your continued compassion and friendship.
