What you need to understand is that these talk radio hosts are in it totally for the money. Whether it's Michael Savage, Bill O'Reilly, or Ann Coulter, they are not as patriotic as they want you to believe. They are loyal to their huge salaries, and if they have to spew out lies and distortions or attack someone on a personal level to attract listeners, they'll do it. In my opinion, the garbage that is excreted by talk radio hosts has poisoned our country. Millions of people listen to it regularly and they believe what they hear.

The only legal way to control it is for people to stop tuning in. But that's not likely to happen since the hosts know that their negative rhetoric is working. It's sort of like watching a hockey match for the fights or going to a Nascar race hoping to see a crash. That's why few people listen to Air America or other liberal talk shows: the lack of attacks and gutter-talk makes it uninteresting to very many people.
