Hi Geketa,
I froze zucchini, but I never blanched it. I just grated it and froze it. It will be watery when you thaw it, but just drain it. It is great for breads.

Hello Sam,
Sorry I'm late to be here.
What a wonderful theme! Gardening!
Congratulations Judy. I enjoyed reading your wonderful article. I like gardening too, although I have not a big garden to have many plants. I really admire people who have so great gardens with a lot of flowers and many vegetables.
Thank you for this article Judy.
Best regards,
Dimitra

Dimitra, it's so nice to see you here!
Actually, my garden isn't that big, but it is amazing how much can be grown in a small space. I think if it were a bit larger, I would grow more flowers, but with all the other garden plots around - there are 38 in all - I get to enjoy what everyone grows, and there is also a certain amount of trading that goes on.
Thanks again for stopping by.

Judy W.
Finally I made it over here I'm so sorry for being here so late, but this has a good side too: reading all the posts through.
I can imagine your small and beautiful garden, the source of your delight and pleasure! One can sense the joy in your heart and the pleasure you feel, being in your garden and keeping care of it, despite of some dirt under your nails
I know from my grandmother's time how rewarding gardening may be!
and also how tasty her tomatoes, were! Some times I'm still dreaming about being the kid running all over and she trying to keep me away of the plants I could have torn! Later, I helped her with pleasure and now I'm so sorry my kids never had a chance like that! The only gardening they know, looks like this:

and despite of looking so beautiful, they are far from being the same tasty and flavored!
Myrna, your words of review are so well "resuming" what each of the readers could feel reading the Article: you find and spelled (hm, hope you'll see what I meant as I'm not sure of my English here?! ...)
THANK YOU SAM
for another issue of wonderfully done Article Of Virtue!
With lots of friendship,
HAPPY GARDENING,

Anamaria!
What a nice surprise. Actually you do a much better job of making it to all the forums than I. I see you everywhere. Like you, I often arrive later than some and enjoy reading all the comments.
The garden scene is much different now from when I wrote the article. Last Saturday we had the final work party of the year and it was spent putting things to rest for the winter and adding more wood chips to the paths so they wouldn't become mud flats during the rains.
Today we are promised some sunshine and I'm going up to turn over soil in the part of the garden that isn't planted with kale, beets and mustard greens for the cooler months. Might even plant some garlic for greens in the spring.
And yes, there is that dirt under the finger nails.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
