Hello Leslye,
I am sure we can have a Sparring match on these topics, but I am a firm believer as if they have God in their lives and have a solid foundation on how God wants us to live our lives,the kids will not make bad choices.If you teach your children that it is displeasing to God one might think twice.I tell my kids always,when ever you do anything,first stop to think what would Jesus do? I as well tell them that, everything you do Jesus is standing right besides you watching.It is our job as parents to teach our children the foundations of the word. The bible is missing from the homes. Its the parents job as God gave birth to everyone to follow his word and for parents to obey Gods word and teach their children according to his word.

Hello friends,
It has been some trying times for us all as ALP friends especially these past week in our forum but thanks to everyone that has contributed in one way or the other in calming ruffled feathers and preaching tolerance, peace and love.
I am glad to see my friend Leslye back with her beautiful image and of course, Jim responding to her latest post. I am more than excited and give kudos to you dear friends for such spirit of friendship.

Oh WOW ---- I missed a party..... LOL I've been reading the posts and I am delighted to see the expression of idea's...... and saddened (not surpised) that it became confrontational.
Sam - you have done a marvelous job of bringing order back into this thread. You are a gentleman and a talented leader in your own way. My hat is off to you.
While reading - I was reminded of Og Mandino's Book - forget which one...LOL.... but I recall him saying
" I will laud mine enemies and they will become my friends"
"I will love mine friends and they will become my brothers"
Relationships are most interesting. We all see the world through our own eyes and thus life is filtered through our own experiences......
To have a "successful" sale - a salesman may not develop a true friend - however he has for certain developed a relationship where respect, understanding and appreciation are present.
A con man however, may make a sale but the respect, understanding and appreciation will NOT be present.
Where/when, appreciation, respect and understanding are present..... true and lasting friendships can be born.... "if a desire for that type of relationship" is within the people particpating in the relationship.
As long as we are on this side of the grass.... there will be stuggles, trials and events as certain as there will be good fortunes, smooth rides and warm parties.
That being said - Let's party!
